The NAACP Portland Branch 1120-B is a community united in the pursuit of Black Liberation.
We comprise different ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, religious and spiritual and secular perspectives. We are diverse in our physical and mental capabilities, lived experiences, and cultural backgrounds. We value this diversity without preference as we center the voices, needs, and perspectives of Black people to accomplish the mission and vision of the NAACP.
We provide an environment where racism, expressions of contempt for or prejudice against Black women, discrimination, and abuse are not tolerated. We strive to live in and model accountability, integrity, and transparency through honest and respectful addressing of issues, needs, and harms as they arise.
