Color of Change has a handy call-your-representative tool for the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act

From Color of Change: “America’s original sin is still unaccounted for. Last month, Congress held a hearing for H.R. 40: Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act. Hours of testimonies for this legislation was a clear indication that we cannot let up. Even the testimonies against the legislation proved why it is necessary to study the effects of the nearly 250-year history of slavery and the adverse effect on economic opportunities for Black people. As H.R. 40 was first introduced 33 years ago, with only two hearings since its introduction, we will not allow this week’s hearing to be the end of the conversation and for justice to be held off any longer. We simply cannot wait. Act Now: Demand that your representative cosponsor H.R. 40!
