Youth Nature Leader Recruitment - CLOSED
The Portland NAACP's Environmental Justice Committee is partnering with Metro to train BIPOC youth to lead nature excursions during the Summer of 2022.
Black/Brown People have a long and rich history of ties to nature, yet the outdoors have not always been a safe place for us, especially in Oregon. These nature excursions will start conversations on environmental work and the intersectionality of racial social justice, while also advocating for getting more BIPOC community members in nature.
Each youth leader will receive a stipend of $600 for participation and a complimentary NAACP Youth Membership. We will be recruiting between 15 and 20 youth leaders!
